Integrating Students into the University. Organization of an Academic-Professional Seminar by the Tourism Degree Mentors

During the 2015-2016 academic year, the University Orientation Plan (UOP) was implemented for the first time at the Zaragoza University School of Tourism (hereinafter ETUZ). In this regard, the UOP coordinator and the three tutor-mentor teams at the center propose organizing an academic-professional seminar in the second semester, led by the mentors, for first-year students. The program encourages the participation of alumni and final-year students to share their academic and professional experiences. This program aims to increase the motivation of first-year students and their involvement in their studies. At the same time, mentors feel integrated into the academic institution. The tutors and the coordinator oversee this organization.
